I just picked up a first issue (SN# 1818XX) Police Positive chambered in 32 Police CTG and was curious about value or any other interesting historical information on this handgun. I got it as part of a package deal and have very limited revolver knowledge. It does not appear to have been reblued or altered and has a nice patina for an old handgun. There is no rust on the firearm. The cylinder is nice and tight with virtually no movement. Below are a few pics of the new to me Colt. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Can't help on value but I believe that the .32 Police (.32 Colt New Police) is the same cartridge as the .32 S&W Long. So you would also be able to shoot the shorter .32 S&W as well.
I have a similar Police Positive model chambered in .38 Special. I really like mine, it's a good shooter, yours should be too. This one was my grandfather's.

I have a few of those.
LIL'GUN will push 85 gr bullets over 1400 fps.......after I TIG weld up the forcing cone.
Very well designed and well built revolver. They don't make anything that good any more.
