Can anyone suggest a gunsmith who specializes in Pythons?
Does anyone do the Python blueing? A few Pythons for sale in the area that are well worn. |

Why not send it back to Colt? If you want it to look and feel like a new Python again that's the clear choice. I plan to do so with mine. From the Colt site:Ensure that your firearm is only handled by experts, and is returned to you in factory quality condition.

As above the Colt factory is the go-to for repairs and re-finishing.
Unless it's pitted where they can't get it out, the gun will come back looking like brand new. If necessary, they can even refresh the stampings. For repairs, they have all the parts and the special tools needed, and they have THE expert pistolsmiths. Note that right now they're so busy, they may not be taking new work, and you'll have to be patient when they do take it. They only have so many people but it's well worth the wait. |
