So I'm loving the new Combat Commander and it has moved to my EDC spot. I would like to replace the factory white dot novaks for some Trijicon nights sights similar to what came on my TRP. Can anyone recommend someone to do this that won't take 6 months to get it back to me or is it something I can handle on my own? I have replaced tons of sights on Glocks and have had to fit the Wilson Combat sights to a few. Can someone point me to the sights I need or give a model number. Thanks

I've replaced sights on 1911's, CZ's, M&P's... If your 1911's sights are a standard dovetail cut design then installing a pair of Novak's should at the longest take you an hour to do. Lots of YouTube video's on how to do it... A bench, table vice, vice jaws, hammer, set of files, and a nice stout pieces of wood to drift the old ones out and drive the new sights in. I use Brazilian Cherry wood cut to different sizes as needed because it's very hard but won't mar or deform the sights nor the slide. Patience and correct tool use is the key to making it look like a factory job.

Thanks everyone. I just ordered a set from Novak directly and a local gun shop is going to install for 35 bucks. Not anticipating any problems as the gun came with Novak sights on it.
