I had a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec in .45 ACP. It was a nice pistol but I got bored and sold it. I'd rather have a Commander Size 1911 in 10mm. Anyone know of who makes one? |
| I'm another thats wishes we had more options for 10mm. I've got a few fullsize 1911 in 10mm but the only compact I have is the G29. Never thought I'd get one but I did. I must say, if you can get over the feel of shooting something that feels like a 2x4 block in your hand you'll probably be impressed. For a 3" barreled pistol the darn thing shoots as accurately as my full size 1911's. |
| Since this is a technical forum dedicated to 1911s I'll abstain from relaying my stance of the pros and cons of the Glock platform in 10mm, and point out that A full sized production10mm can be had new for $1,000 or less, which was a monumental stride from five or more years ago. One can still acquire a non production 10mm in a more compact platform by opting into a build (Caspian/Fusion) or a semi-custom. Granted this may be a prohibitively expensive deal to some, but considering that you can get a <$1,000 full size 1911, it hardly seems worth complaining about considering the fact one must be financially committed to firing such an expensive round in the first place. |
