| Who carries in the comp tac paddle and tell me why you like or dislike. Was trying another holster but returned it because I didn't like it. I want it close to the body and the comp tac boast "closest riding paddle on the market". Also cant. FBI? Straight? Thanks |

What are you using it for? Competition? EDC?
I have a straight drop for a Glock 19/17. It's good for competition, etc, but without a cant, it's not great for carry. Unless you are wearing a jacket etc. I used it for IDPA, but decided to use my Minotaur so that I competed using my EDC rig. Where in TN are you? If you are in the Nashville area you can check out mine. In fact if you like it I'll sell it to you... I only have it for my Glock 19 Red Gun. |
| I've had two of them. For paddles, they are very close to the body. Nothing like a Raven or clone for closeness, but surprisingly close for a paddle. I'm not a big paddle fan (mainly don't like that plastic paddle in my pants) so I've since sold off my CT paddles, but their quality was great. For carry, you absolutely need the FBI cant. Straight drop allows for a lot of grip printing. Now, if you're only going to be carrying a G27, assuming flush mags only, that might work out okay at 0300 carry. Only problem with FBI cant is that if you carry up at 0300 you can get a bit of printing from the rear of the slide due to how far forward it's canted. |
| I have looked at the Minotaur as well. I think I would like it better because Im always trying to make sure my shirt/ sweatshirt isnt riding up. I just never have had an IWB holster. I think I would like it if I bought it. Tell me more if you dont mind. I notice they are 90 bucks. Im assuming they are one configuration only and that is iwb. Do you tuck a shirt in between it and you? Feel ok? |

You tuck your shirt between the holster and your pants so nothing shows but the clips on your belt. Really nice IMO. ETA: And I recommend the slide version if you have a 22 or 23. The bottom is open so you can carry the longer guns. |

I own a crapload of Comp-Tac stuff - holsters, mag carriers, belts, etc. Their paddles are very nice - I own both a slide on type paddle and a belt paddle for the 9/40/357 Glocks. Very close to the body for a paddle. For carrying concealed, as others have said, I'd really look at the MTACs. I own 3 MTACs and thought I'd never use anything else until I recently bought the new Infidel Ultra. Nothing wrong with my MTACs (they work great) but the easy on/off nature of the Infidel Ultra is a big plus if one needs to move the holster a lot between different clothing options. I still use the MTACs when I have no need of removing the holster. The Comp-Tac belts are also built like a tank. |

I've used a Comp-Tac paddle holster for my G26, G19, G17 and G34. Just ordered one for my Ruger SR1911. The mag holders and flashlight holders are awesome too.
I prefer these over others as I have to disarm frequently thoroughut the day, and these are perfect, no struggling to slip it off, yet very secure. Nice and high-riding and smooth. Go with the FBI cant - it helps with concealability. FWIW. |

I'm a huge fan of their FBI Cant paddle. I have 3. I see no need to buy paddles from any other supplier. It'll be at your door in a week, made from a single sheet of kydex, rides very close, very well made and reasonably priced. Buy with confidence Exactly. |

I have a CT paddle and 2 Minotaurs.
My paddle is zero cant. I use it for IDPA & USPSA production. I need a heavy jacket to conceal with it, or a khaki vest I conceal carry with the Minotaur. I have have one that I use with my G19 and one for my 30sf. I carry one of these 2 guns every day at work, and everywhere else. Basically, anywhere I am wearing pants. The Minotaur has a strip of very soft leather on the back. This covers the rivets. It doesn't irritate my skin when it is bare against it. |
