Damn! I hate comps but that thing makes them look good!
Is it just me or does the front strap look REALLY sharp? How does it feel to hold? Looks like my TRP, which I have to use a glove if I fire more than 100 rounds on a cold day. pistolwretch...since you are here, is there a way to take some of the bite out of my TRP's front strap without a file? I would hate to have to get the frame re-finished if I can help it. Thanks. Oh, and what slide is that? |

Thanks guys!
It is the original Colt slide. I used a surface grinder to remove the rollmarks and then re-machined the cocking serrations. The checkering is not as sharp as it looks. Or maybe I just have well used hands. Checkering is easily dulled using wet or dry automotive sandpaper. I'd suggest 320 grit cut into 1" wide strips and used in a 'shoeshining' fashion. The tips of the diamonds can then be cold blued. |
