I live in the state of Florida and recently have been considering running the obstacle course of paperwork to get a concealed firearm permit in FL. But I was just wondering what you all think about it. From what I've read its a huge resposibility. Is it worth it I guess is my question. Apparently some 390,000 people in the state of Florida have one, anyone on the boards one of them? |
| Get some good formal training in CCW. It is a very big responsibility but very much worth it! I just trained at Valhalla Training Center, they tought me more in a few day then I learned over the last 15 years! Check them out www.valhallashootingclub.com. There are other good shooting schools around the country to also look in to. |

It is an enormous responsibility. It's worth the peace of mind for me to know I can defend my wife and child if I have to. LE is responsible for protecting the public at large, not individuals. You should be willing to protect yourself and your family if you decide to carry. I will also recomend you attend formal handgun training no matter how long you've been shooting. My last course was here: http://www.aptacademy.com/ |
You can come and visit my second home also. www.combatcarry.com/vbulletin/index.php We promise not to Bite |
