I'm not exactly new to Glocks, but a friend of mine was telling me that there IS a GLOCK model that typically comes in 40 S&W, but you can convert it to 9mm para (and use the 30+ rd mags with it) and or convert it to 357 Sig. and use the 40 cal mags. If this is true, what model number is this, and what are some of the Pros & Cons of converting it to, say 9mm or 357? |

So do you just have to buy a new barrel to do this conversion, or what else is involved to get some conversions? I'm starting to think that the 32C (in the finish above) is just what the Dr. ordered for my first Glock. |
To convert the G32 to 40S&W you just need factory G23 barrel(or a aftermarket G23 barrel). To convert the G23 or G32 to 9mm you need a conversion barrel. You can use your G32 mags for the 40S&W but I like having my 40s marked 40. 9mm will need 9mm mags(G19, G17 or G18) Correct. The G32 will use a G23 barrel and vise-versa. The 9mm conversion barrel will need to be for the G23 or G32 Both the G23 and G32 use the same size frame, slide mags e.t.c.
I had the slide on the above G32C H.Chromed about 8yrs ago, they don't come that way from Glock. |

if I got the 32 C like that, and the 9mm barrel conversion, I was wondering about mag compatibility... If I buy the 30+ rd G18 mags, would they work in the 32 frame? Also, what 9mm mags fit flush with the G32 Frame? The G19 (15rd) mags, or the G17 (17rd) mags? That pistol setup you've got looks *KICKASS*!!! How much did the Hard Chroming cost? Edited to add: Sorry about the "20 Questions", but I'm a big Colt 1911 Fan (and will always be), and many of my friends are switching over to "Combat Tupperware" for some of the Defensive Edge Tactical courses we're taking a lot of lately. 17rds (9mm) or ~13rds (40/357?) seems to be better than reloading every 7 rds when you've got multiple (4+) targets to engage in rapid training & competitions! It's just that if I make "The Jump" from 1911 to Combat Tupperware I'm going to want the added versatility to make it more worth-while. Plus, I'm a big fan of 45 ACP, so the next best would be the 32 C (357 Sig / 40 S&W for knock down power in CCW) to retain the caliber versatility & mag capacity. |
