For those of you who have been around the Sig world a lot longer than I have, I have a question for you.

I have a Sig P229 DAO, and hate it. I love the gun but I want a DA/SA. I've been looking around and from what I've seen I can convert it with a Decocking Lever Bearing, Decocking Lever Spring, Decocking Lever, and new hammer. Are these pieces all I need, and if so is the process fairly self explanatory once I get it apart?

Parts to convert from DAO to DA/SA
•Hammer
•Hammer Strut Pin (except P239 which is integral) *Note* Recently, #34280325 and #34280325N have been coming with the Hammer Strut Pin already installed
•Decocking Lever
•Decocking Lever Spring
•Decocking Lever Bearing
I got this info from Top gun supply FAQ,i just reassembly my P229 yesterday and it is pretty easy.
For safe side get the Sig armory video.

It's an easy job.  As described above, get all the parts from TGS, and use the video if necessary.  While you've got it apart, why don't you install an SRT?

Is this a true DAO or a DAK.  There IS a difference.  You may only need to change the hammer and add the decocker parts if it is a DAO.  A DAK conversion to DA/SA does require about $200 in parts from Top Gun.

Where do you get the SRT parts?

I think Sig has a policy were it's a Sig armorer installation only.

Is there a quick way to tell if my is DAO or DAK?  Just picked mine up at an estate sale this weekend and it did not come with any manual.
