I recently bought two CT laser sights. One for a J frame S&W the other for a Kahr CW9. They take different batteries. The one on the Kahr is much brighter than the one one the S&W. Is this unusual? Do the sights get less bright as the battery runs down?

Look at the voltage on the different batts. Is one higher than the other? Might be part of it.

I think the dot is a all or none deal on the batteries. Don't think it gets dim since it's a laser. It's either on or off.
