Here are pictures of my custom 'Operator'. This gun started it's life out as a standard 'Loaded' Operator. The gun shot 6 inches low at 25 yards, had a chipped beavertail, and a slightly curved plunger tube from the factory. Instead of sending it back to SA, I decided to send it out to Bob Rodgers to have him work his magic on it. After 4 months I finally have it in my hands...
BEFORE:

AFTER:

TEST TARGETS:

Just under an 1 inch @ 15yrds offhand..factory barrel

1.5 inches @ 25yrds offhand..*tossed out the flyer

Following work done by Bob Rodgers:

Replaced FLGR with a Brown 'GI' unit

I don't normally cuss but holy shit that's accurate.  Offhand?????  That just pisses me off actually.  But, I guess it shows me that I got alot of work to do, but that it is possible with the right gun, ammo, and shooting prowess.  I personally have never seen any shoot like that.  But then again, I haven't been hanging out at nra bullseye matches so I don't know how well they shoot.  Regardless, not only is it wickidly accurate, it is very nice looking.  And a rail to make it ultra cool, for those that like that kind of thing.

How does your 10 round chip mccormick mag work????  I have an 8 rounder that looks like a 7 and haven't had any problems so far but I'm really wanting to get a 10 rounder also.  And they're on sale right now at midway, if there's any left.  The wilsons are quite a bit more expensive, but I'll pop if it's gotta be wilson.  I have a wilson 8 rounder and it is by far the best mag I have.

DAMN!!!!  That is sweet.  You absolutely went the correct route by having Rodgers work their magic.  If you're gonna trust a Springfield, then do what they did to it.  I leanred that the hard way.

What a great gun!!!  You have a LOT to be proud of!!!!
