I like it but have no first hand knowledge as to value or predicted increase in value...that being said, take a look at what the WW! and WW2 commemorative 1911s have done in price and it doesn't look good.
I almost bought a "Battle of the Marne" one at a show once to use as a shooter as that's how cheap it was. In a way I would say who cares what it does in value if you never plan to sell it anyway and it's much cooler as a gun passed from father to son. I do like it though and I'm not much of a showy gun fan either. |
| That is how I feel I have no plans on ever selling either pass it to down to my kids when I have them or to my niece. I have never been a fan of the flashy guns but I really like the saying and figure it would look good in my office till the time comes to pass it on. |
| I guess it would depend on how scarce they become. Commemorative anythings are usually made specifically to collect and not use. I find it's the oddballs with short runs not meant to be short runs like a Remington 673, original Bushmaster 308 BAR-10 or when a company changes something say a pre-Hilery hole S&W, a pre Remington Marlin a pre 64 Winchester or a pre-Ceribus Bushmaster that get a better pay-off, usually short term. It's also supply and demand. Look at something as common as .22LR. If someone want's that particular item, who knows. |
