I recently got a Dan Wesson 15-2 357 Magnum
It has a 4" Heavy Lug Barrel and 6"& 8" slim tapered barrel & shroud
Came with 4 grips and the Barrel Tool & allen kit + .006" Feeler gauge.
Came in factory box with warranty card,Congradualatory letter,& Instruction Manual.
This Revolver shoots better than any I have ever tried with the 8" barrel.
The tentioned barrel and shroud is the secret to the DWs accuracy.
It sure is a sweet Piece to behold.
It Keeps me Smilin!

Congrats!

Is it from the Monson days?

I have an ol' Monson 44mag and it's the most accurate handgun I've ever fired. I feel that they are the most versatile revolvers ever made.

When I do get a .357, I can tell you that it WILL BE A DW.

Hence, DWFAN !!!

And sig_230 I saw that post of were you told how to do a trigger Job on a DW. NICE!!
I have a large order to put in with Wolff ,The DWs Kit is gonna be on that order.
I don't think a $1200 Colt Python could outshoot the DW.

A 4 inch 715HV resides in my safe. (Palmer Mass.)
It is not going anywhere as I always wanted one in stainless and it shoots great too!

I can't take credit for it, wish I could. It's just something I found on the web over the years. Credit really needs to go to Tim Berners-Lee. Afterall, none of us would even be hear without him.

I have S&Ws,SIG ,Beretta ,Rugers Several of them,Taurus ,DPMS CAR-15, Remington,DW..Etc,
The SIG is one of the finest combat pistols in the World.

Monson .357's are plentiful right now and are inexpensive. I've seen most of them in 4-8 inch bbl lengths go for $250-$400 max.

When you consider that you can purchase a complete Pistol Pack (2.5,4,6,and 8 inch bbls usually with 2 grips and x-tra sights for $700-850 bucks, how can you go wrong?

Try buying a S&W in a 2.5 bbl, one in 4 in, one in 6 in, and one in 8in. You'd have to take out another mortgage on your house!

And the best part is that if you want any of the different size bbls or shrouds, all you gotta do is call Bob @ DW. Their new parts fit good ol' Monson's!

Again, IMHO the most versatile revolvers ever made!
