Went to the range this weekend and put 165rds total rounds through it. I shot 150 of Federal Maroon colored box 230gr. FMJ and 15 rounds of Winchester PDX-1 230gr. Reliability was basically 100%...

I used Metalform 7rd, Wilson 47D 8rd, Wilson Elite 8rd, Chip McCormick Power 8rd, the supplied Check-mate 8rd and stock Colt 8rd mags.

Every mag fed rounds 100%. Every shot fed, fired and ejected from the gun itself. One thing though, my Valor does not like Colt or Colt based magazines. It fed 100% but failed to lock back the slide on the last round. I had 4 Colt 8rd mags and 4 Metalform mags which are like the original GI type and all 8 failed to lock the slide back.

The Wilsons, Chip McCormick and Check-mate mags had zero problems so I'm chalking it up to mag preference, not the gun. My first Ultra Carry didn't like Wilson Officer sized mags but ran like a freight train with everything else. Some 1911s just don't like certain mags. ETA: Cleaning off the mags, I just noticed I also brought a Wolff/ACT mag with me that ran 100% and locked the slide back no problem.

Accuracy was pretty good. The target below was a 5 shot group at 15 yards. Not my best and honestly won't comment any more on it until I take it to the range a few more times. I've gotten equal groups with my Colts, Springfield and Kimbers so I'm going to have to hit the range again soon. One thing I didn't do to the DW though was change the recoil spring to a 18.5# Wolff spring. I do this to even new 1911s because I can't stand 16# springs what-so-ever so this might be a reason the accuracy was equal to my other 1911s.

The other factor might be the straight 8 sights. I'm used to 3 dots or all black and haven't shot a 1911 with straight 8 sights in 3 years. I think everything combined will take me another trip or 2 to get used to the sights again and use the correct spring weight.

The Turbo screws came from VZ. I still got shine on the grips from the flash but I basically take pictures to show something and don't go in depth with angles and lighting. I really think the screws go with the grips just right.

All in all it was a huge pleasure to shoot. After I change the spring and get used to the sights I'm sure I'll love it even more.

No, its dirty sooty garbage from the rounds. It cleans right off.

Here is the before picture taken a few days apart.

Well polished feed ramp, are you going to shoot any SWC?

I don't have any SWC in 45acp so most likely no. Everything I have is either FMJ or HP.

Very nice,  I love my 2010 Valor.  Your grips and screws look really nice.  I do know that I don't care for the slime grips that came on my Valor though.  IIRC the spring on the valor is 18 lbs, not 16........but I could be wrong.
