I just handled a Dan Wesson .41 magnum revolver in on of the local gunstores. The gun was stainless (or nickle or something silvery) and had a 4 inch barrel, and they're asking $475. The double action trigger pull seemed pretty light compared to my .38 S&Ws. I'm curious about the availability of additional barrels. The 4 inch barrel handled nicely, but obviously a 6 or 8 inch tube would be better for hunting or long range plinking. I know .41 mag isn't a plinking cartidge, but I mostly just like to go to the range and see what modest feats of accuracy I can achieve.
In any case, I really like this revolver, but if extra barrels aren't available I think I'll just hold out for pistol kit with multiple barrels in .44 mag. Thanks for any input or advice! ETA - Sorry for the lack of specificity, but I was specifically intending to ask if CZ is producing barrels for this revolver, as they've bought out Dan Wesson. |

2009 CZ/DW parts price list has the 6" VH (Vent Heavy) barrel&shroud for $304, 8" for $374. 10" for $433, Prices are likely a bit higher now
http://danwessonforum.com/dwf-content/documents/2009_pricelist.pdf That's a very good price for a DW .41 Mag, 4" barrel is a less common item, I'll bet it would be a great shooter. |
