Wisconsin's CCW law goes into effect on Nov. 1. When I choose to carry, I anticipate using my G19's in an IWB like a Supertuck. I am also interested in a deep conceal/pocket carry option. I don't think I want a .380 so I'm considering maybe a Ruger LCR or a Kahr CM9. I was thinking of the LCR in .357 primarily to make the recoil of 38 special more tolerable for my wife if she elects to carry.  Obviously I have some leg work to do but was wondering if any one had any thoughts about the suitability of either as a pocket carry option. Thanks.

Smartcarry/thunderware - is a highly recommended deep concealment holster..   Its a little awkard at first but you hardly notice its there after you wear it for a while. if you do a google search you will find a lot of good postings in the defensivecarry.com forums   BEWARE there are quite a few similar holsters on the market similar to the smart carry thunderware - but both are better (material and design) than the knockoffs. I ended up with the smart carry

I tried pocket carry with my P230 - but it was too big for that.. Also it printed badly unless you were wearing blue jeans..

If you go with  pocket carry - make sure you get a holster that has some sort of sticky stuff on it to keep the holster in your pocket when you draw..

I'm a big fan of pocket carry. It's very discreet and easy to carry. Best pocket gun I've found is the Rohrbaugh R9 pistol, it's really tiny but packs a full 9mm punch. I use 147grn Golden Sabers and it's very reliable. Of course not everyone is willing to spend $1,000 for a pocket gun. My second favorite is the S&W 642 .38 Special with 158grn +P hollowpoints. I use a DeSantis Super Fly pocket holster.

This. I carry a Glock 19 daily but I started my CCW experience with a full size 1911 and I got used to it so when I went to the G19, it was like nothing was there. I don't worry about printing because open carry is legal here as well as conceal carry but the G19 really doesn't print with a good holster and dress.

Today, I went out in our wonderful near 90 degree heat and 70+ dew point with my Glock 19 in a BladeTech IWB rig at about the 3:30 position, Spyderco Endura, Fenix PD30 light, Spare mag front left pocket, cell phone and my Ruger LCP in an uncle mikes holster in my right front pocket wearing just a pair of cargo shorts and a plain white t shirt.

Handguns are pretty easy to conceal so just go with what works with you.
I would suggest a PF9, DB 9, or a pocket airweight snubbie, otherwise I think you are stuck with a .380 which isn't the end of the world, but I understand wanting to stick with 9mm.
Congrats on your states passing of the ccw law, eventually all states will realize they need armed citizens....well maybe not California
