I have small hands.  Such is life.  I've seen threads start and putter out without every option being mentioned.

I'll mention what I know and if I missed some let me know.

I lean more towards ccw guns and therefore they should be able to control with 1 small hand if required.  Most larger guns can be handled ok with two hands.

Prefer 9mm and up, but we can't be picky.  :)

After most options have been mentioned I'll sort them and slap links in.

Add 'em if ya got 'em...comments if you've had 1st hand experience with the guns below would be good.  If you have small hands all the better.

Many revolvers such as J-frames.

Most 1911 makes

SIG 239

SIG 220 (kind of)

SIG 225

SIG 232

Springfield XD9/XD45

Springfield EMP

Kahr guns

HK P30 with smallest inserts

HK P2000 with Small backstrap

HK P2000SK (kind of-more yes than no)

HKP7 (?) not sure- never held it.

Not sure of HK45 and HK45c

Some think CZ's are good for small hands.  I found the trigger reach pretty far on the P-01 and not much different than the SIG 229.

High Power  (probably thinnest and overall nicest grip I've felt for my hands)

Browning BDM/BDA

Can someone take a tape measure and measure the grip circumference just under the trigger guard of a BHP or clone?  Just curious if you have a few minutes.

S&W M&P

S&W 3913 and 908  (not sure if the 40's are still thin as well)

Walther PPS (?) Haven't felt this, but being single stack- probably good for small hands unless shaped odd.

Walther PPK

Walther P99 with small backstrap. Haven't held it, but in searching it came up.

Some say G26.  Maybe other Glocks if you pony up for a grip reduction.

Steyr M9

Ruger SR9

Beretta PX4 and PX4c when it's out

Taurus - MilPro some say.  I'm sure the PT709 will be nice for us small handed people when it comes out.

I dont have large hands and a glock works fine for me.  The g21 original doesn't, the 21SF not so bad.

I have smallish hands -- fat fingers, but short.

These work well for me:

Walther P99 is small with the smallest backstrap installed.  way to small for my paws.

S&W M&P also has adjustable backstraps.

+1 on the Hi-Power.

And I do fine with the P7 too.

I'm a small handed guy myself and in terms of the various handguns I've shot my vote is for the HP. It's a near perfect fit for my hands. As for that other pistol JMB designed 1st..Oh yeah the 1911. It's a close second. In all the years I shot service pistol matches I never had any of the common issues that folks have with the 1911. IE hammer bite or slide slices. Guess JMB had small hands as well.

My biggest issue with the majority of the current handguns that are reduced in size from their full size brethern is they have that short fat grip that just doesn't feel good to me. I also carried and shot S&W K frames for a number of years and never had any issue with grips..I used Houge uni grips on the 4" bbl and Tyler's T grip on the 2" bbl with low profile wood grips.

Hope this is of some use to you.

I to belong to Small Hands Anonymous, and I'm here to tell you that the old wives tales are not true.  I like the 1911 a lot and I can barely deal with the Glock 19.  What I am really waiting for is the Desert Eagle round-butt version!  Aren't you?

i have the m&p and use a medium size grips, but my hands are right there at medium and small but shoot, feel, and trigger pull lenth is best at medium. try out the small grips, i bet they would feel pretty good0

My wife has itty bitty hands.
For her, the thinness of the grips is the key, not the overall size of the pistol.
She shoots a full size 1911 (after trying many other things)

With revolvers you can often install thinner grips or modify the existing ones.  If recoil is a consideration material can be removed by the frontstrap of the grip, while leaving more around the backstrap(think egg shaped grip).

I have average sized hands, but shorter fingers, and the Ruger GP100 grip fits well.
