How difficult is is to detail strip a Mk3 (The one with the rotten inertia safety)? Mine has about 5K rounds throught it and I'd like to get a Wolff Spring Replacement kit and refurb it. Any good manuals to recommend? Thanks! |

The original BHP was easy. The slide stop removes the firing pin plate. The firing pin is used to push out the pin holding the sear which will fly across the room if youre not hanging onto it. Pull out the sear & sear spring. The hammer rotates forward freeing the safety to be pushed out. This frees the hammer-mainspring assy. Ive never torn down a MK3, it may or may not be different. I bought a copy of the British Armys BHP manual. Lots of good info in it. |
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like the hardest part will be screwing around with that firing pin safety. I only ever detail stripped the slide once and it was a PITA. Made me appreciate my SA Commander with the plain firing pin. Encourages you to do your PM. |
