| The classic is an older series 1 model that does not have the swartz safety system. The II in the name of the second gun means that the gun is a series 2 kimber and therefore contains the swartz safety system. There are threads about the safety system if you need to read up on it. Basically its a fireing pin block deactivated by the grip safety. Some will argue that its a good safety feature that won't give you any problems, others will argue that its added parts that aren't needful and are only there because of politics (poli- many, tics- bloodsuckers). You'll have to decide for yourself which you are after. Personally I would choose a series 1 over a series 2, but that is just me so assign my opinion the value of what you paid for it. |
