I have a J frame Smith for CCW, which I really like, but I find myself drawn to the LCP after I handled one at the local fun shop..........it would be carried as well, and it couldnt be a bad thing to have 2 CCW pieces, could it?

I have a S&W J Frame 637 Airweight. I also have a Kel-Tec P3AT. I Still bought an LCP and don't regret it one bit. It's a great little gun. I love mine.

if you've got room on your body, why not have a BUG as well as a BUBUG?  lol....

I bought an LCP for summer/pocket carry last year, just as it was released.  It is a sweet little gun but I decided to go with the LCR for summer/pocket carry- it has more stopping power and ammo for it is A LOT easier to come by in todays market.  While I don't think you NEED an LCP, I say if you like it, buy it.  I still like having mine and will occsionally carry it.

If you have the money then yes.  Sweet shooter with a better fit n' finish then the other brand.  Mine has also been 100%.

I think it's a great 'summer' gun, because it can fit about anywhere and be completely unnoticeable. It's perfect for shorts/t-shirt. Ammo (at least here) is becoming more readily available too. I got a box of Hornady Critical Defense and saw at least 15 boxes of the Federal Premium personal defense stuff yesterday. It's best asset is also it's biggest weakness IMO. It's small enough to hide anywhere, but its lack of heft also makes it very uncomfortable (for me) to shoot. I have large hands, and I strain to hold the minuscule grip with two fingers. It's really a 1.5 finger gun for my meat hooks. Recoil is strong and I develop blisters after 50 rounds at the range. For when I can't conceal my G17, the LCP is with me.

I really enjoy mine, great little pocket gun. I recommend adding the wollfe 13# or 15 # springs and a set of Hogue handall Jr grips.and using finger extensions on the mags.
Made a big difference for me.

I have had my LCP for a month and it is a perfect "88 degree weather" carry gun. I put mine in a DeSantis Nemisis holster, drop it in my pocket and away I go. It is one of the few guns that I have carried that you can almost not even notice you are carrying.

I have put a few hundred rounds through it with no failures of any kind. I recommend it highly.

I love mine. I almost forgot to take it out of my pocket before going into work one time. It seriously carries like spare change. Love it.

I wish I could say I've had zero problems but I put a little over 150 rounds through mine yesterday. About 85 of those were white box, copper washed Russian Wolf FMJ. I had four failure to extract.
I looked at them when I got them and noticed the case head is different than regular brass. Its much more stout and thick than regular brass casings. I think that was the problem. But I've got over three or four hundred before yesterday with zero failures. Love it. Just don't run steel case Wolf through it.

The salt in the wound was that box of Wolf .380 cost 38 bucks. And I bought two of them.

Anywho. Great little gun, disappears in the pocket, and goes boom.

Switched from J-frame to LCP, it's way faster out of the pocket, lighter and flatter.

437 round, never a failure to feed, extract or eject.  Had 21 rounds accidently loaded with small rifle primers, the LCP's hammer and firing pin don't have enough mass to fire rifle primers reliably.  The 416 rounds using pistol primers all fired perfectly.  Four hits out of six on a torso sized plate at 50 yards today, two hands, not trying very hard.  Everybody needs an LCP.
