If you do, please give me your thoughts, the way you carry it, [iwb, appendix, owb] and how long you have. Please tell me your thoughts about the UDs, and your concerns. For the last 6 years I've been carrying a 9mm 1911 commander. I recently picked up a 2015 compact. It's been back to Sig for the upgrade. What concerns should I have. I have been carrying the M17 since release, owb, 3-4 o'clock, Galco fletch holster, all seasons Only 2 drawbacks are weight and a little uncomfortable with long distance driving As long as the trigger is not pulled, impossible for a unintentional discharge because of the striker block |

There are jigs available, and Sig does offer a thumb safety kit. Or, buy another thumb safety FCU. |

I don’t EDC due to restrictions at work, but I carry routinely when I’m out and about on weeknights and weekends and whenever I can while traveling. Usually it’s the smaller M18 XCompact (as I call it) on the bottom in this photo, but if clothing permits, I carry the M18 on top. Even though the full sized 17-round grip is only slightly longer, I find that it prints a lot more than the 15-round grip and is also more uncomfortable when sitting. I used a JM Custom Kydex IWB holster at 4-5 o’clock. I may look at other holster optics to see if I can find something that tucks the grip in a bit tighter. Thanks in advance for your time, Chris I carried a P320 for a decade, no WML, in a proper holster IWB at 3 o'clock. Was never concerned about there being a discharge as I used a proper holster and did not finger fuck it. I would wear it from 6:30am til about 11pm (I have a ranch so having a gun on me at all times was needed due to predators). I switched to a 1911 because I have been wanting one for a long time and got one and I decided I was done with striker fired polymer pistols after carrying it for a day. I still think the 320 is a great gun if you do your part to use a proper holster and what not but after 20 years of stiker fired guns (Having Glock and the 320) they just don't do it for me anymore. Still have a 320, still have two Glocks but they just sit in their cases. Hope that explains it. |
| Carried a full size P320 with an x300 ultra in an ANR designs holster. The trigger guard is well blocked on the holster so I never had an issue with stuff falling in there. Moved to a 365 Fuse because I wanted something a little thinner. Still carry the 320 sometimes though. When I get home I'll update with a picture or two. |

At least that's how it was for my G19. As far as pictures go, I tried to show straight on and then from an angle. I can't get a finger in on any side when the gun is holstered. The thumb rest on the WC grip does make the hole slightly bigger though. Still not enough to get a finger in except maybe a small child's. Edit: I bet with a TLR7 or another smaller sized light, that gap would be almost non-existent. Even with the WC grip thumb rest. The X300 is definitely a fairly wide light comparatively.

| I have carried a compact 320 since last summer...strong side OWB at 9 o:clock (left handed). Safari holster on a paddle. Winter is easy w/ sweater, hoodie, down vest etc...summer is "big shirt" time. Don't worry much about printing as my build takes that off worry list. The 6378 ALS I use is a terrific piece of kit, have one for my 226, which I sometimes EDC in lieu of 320. FWIW, prior to this was using same rig but for G-17. In a thousand or so rounds so far, no FTE/FTF, trouble free and accurate. I won't get a full size 320 as I have a 226, mags are expensive compared to Glock, but I happy with this gun...v/r W |

I picked this up for 300, without the case or spare mag. It shoots really well, except after this session, I found the front sight was drifted left, which was likely causing me to shoot right. It's at Sig right now, getting the ambi safety and the factory upgrade. I'm currently looking for a holster. Attached File Attached File |

Is that an option they offer only as part of the warranty upgrade? Did the original P320 FCUs all have the cutout for the safety, regardless of whether they came with one? I can’t imagine SIG would add the FCU cut. |

Thanks, I’ve looked at older P320s from time to time but would prefer them with a manual safety. I didn’t realize that was an option. I could use the jig to do it myself, but I’d prefer to have it done by the factory in case it ever had any issues. |

So the 320 returned from the mother ship this afternoon. They performed the manual safety install, and also gave me a new grip module. Also returned it in a new case, and the original grip. Attached File |

Attached File I was issued one the last 7 years on the job, I retired in 2023. No problems with it, it has unfortunately been dropped and banged around. Guess what? It didn't discharge. I had a couple of my guys drop/banged theirs so hard the optic shattered. Guess what? It didn't discharge. Since retirement I became impressed with it so I carried one but in a proper caliber...foray!
