Been trying for a week to place an order with Double Tap. 1 fax, 1 email, 2 phone messages and about a dozen times  I didn't leave a message. Just wanted to talk to someone in person to help me decide which 10mm ammo to get. Anybody else make contact with them recently.

Mike's a busy guy, so he is hard to get ahold of.  I, personally, buy the 165 Grain Gold Dots, and carry them for my defensive load.  They are devestating in gelatin, and are pretty wicked on the coyotes I have shot with them.

I have tried most of the Doubletap flavors in 10mm, and can help you somewhat.

This will be a woods gun. Possible uses on whitetail, coyotes, rarely a black bear or cougar. Was leaning tward the Hornady 180 or 200 XTP loads. Will be buying a Glock 20
The 180 grain has slightly more Ft/lbs of energy and 100 fps faster. Of the two mentioned, which has more recoil if any difference, and which has the best accuracy. Also open to other suggestions. Thanks for the help..

I don't know if this problem has been resolved, but awhile back NOBODY could get in touch with them. No returned emails or messages, no answering of the phone, nothing. People were getting very ticked off and starting to wonder if they'd gone belly-up.

Again, maybe that all blew over but your present complaint doesn't do much to suggest that it has.

Hello,
I had the same problem when I had a 10mm shooter.  I sent a couple emails and left a message or two about him doing a custom load for me, no response what so ever.
I can tell you that you get what you pay for in a timely mannor.
For gelatin test results and good advice head over to 10mmtalk.com and become a member.
Take care

For animals (Mountain Lion, Deer, etc.) I love the 200 grain XTPs...they have some serious penetration, and they mushroom nicely at Centimeter velocities.  I have also carried  the 180 grain Gold Dots, but I consider them to be more geared towards two legged foe.  I carry 165 grain Gold Dots for my CCW, and keep a few magazines of 200 grain XTPs for woods carry.  I tend to notice the recoil more with the lighter/facter 10mm loads until I get up to 200 grains.  Hope that helps.

Got tired of waiting for a reply. Went ahead and ordered online. The next day I had a delivery message from UPS. Ammo will be here in a week.  Poor verbal communication but fast shipping. I guess you just need to order online to get fast service.
