I know a lot of people practice moving, shooting, and moving while shooting. But how many of you pratice drawing while on the move? And what do you practice?
I have found myself praticing drawing while just doing normal speed walking, as well as practice drawing while moving to cover. Seems like a lot of training I have seen and been through always either involves you having your weapon drawn before moving or once you stop. Just something I thought I'd practice in case it ever does come up. Kinda one of those things that's in the tool box is the way I looked at it. |

Good point. I have only done it while moving at slow speed, like moving towar a paper target or backing away, nothing crazy. I think it's a good idea for sure, just remember when you are moving around and stress levels get up, remind yourself to keep off the bang switch until ready and muzzle discipline. Seems common sense, but sometimes multi tasking can distract even the highly trained.
Also a good one to practice is drawing while prone, or on your back, like if you were blind sided and got knocked down and had to fight your way back up....just a thought. |

I try and practice my draw at least once a week...thanks for the good idea. I need to start doing that. |
