Can I safely dry fire my Beretta 92 FS with out hurting it? Thanks!

Me too.
Although I HAVE heard that dry firing a rimfire can truly be damaging. Anyone heard the same?

Dry firing rimfires is generally not recommended. Have done with most, h@## all of mine but I try to limit the practice. The firing pin smashing into the edge of the chamber can't do either any good.
But I've never managed to break anything.

FWIW, Brownells sells snap caps to avoid this very concern. All calibers are available.
One **could** place a fired case in the chamber IF one were careful & not put in a live rd.

I have asked this question about the M92 in the past and heard it can crack the firing pin over time.
Dry firing rimfires is bad. All S&W guns are dry fireable except their rimfires.
