Can anyone tell me if the E2 grips for the P229 DAK are the same for the DA/SA models? Specifically, do all E2 grips have the recess for the decocker? I'm looking to upgrade the grips on my M11-A1 and DA/SA kit straight from SIG is about to cost me $100, but TopGunSupply.com has the P229 DAK kit for significantly less; DA/SA kits are outta stock. My M11-A1 already has the new-style decocker and the correct plastic main spring seat. I see no difference in these kits besides the missing decocker in the DAK kit. DAK Kit:  SA/DA Kit:  |
Okay well since nobody knows, allow me to explain why the DAK kit won't work. Compare the two hammer struts and you'll see exactly why. So, I'll be sending the DAK kit back and spending the extra money for the proper kit like I should've done from the getgo.   But on the upside, I bought an OSH holster from G-Code for a railed SIG P229 and it fits my M11-A1 like a glove. So I'll be sending it back to let G-Code mod it for IWB carry, basically making it an INCOG. But since the OSHs are designed to be worn OWB, this setup will kill both birds with one stone, Very excited how well this is going to work. Carry on. |
