Has anyone had any experience with the EAA windicator? I'm looking for a 357 and from what I've read they seem to be pretty good for the price. What I would like to know though are they reliable shooters? This will not be a carry or home defense it'll be used at the range just to get some practice in with a revovler. Please let me know what you think if you have or have shot one.

I bought one on a whim one day because it felt awesome in my hands and was cheap. After the firs trip to the range I took my dremel tool to the serrations on the trigger and bought some day-glow orange paint for the sights and since then I have been pretty happy with mine. It is what it is, a cheap revolver. It seems to be built pretty rugged and I have not had any failures with mine. I don't carry it, and I often even forget I own it but if I decide to keep a gun in my truck ever again the Windicator will get the call.
Now though I probably wouldn't do it again. You can get a used Ruger Security Six or some older Smith and Wessons for not much more than the EAA. Also, just FYI I think that they make a couple versions and that one of those versions is a pot metal gun. I won't own a pot metal gun so I made sure the one I bought was the all steel version. |
