I am thinking of getting a small snub nose as a backup gun since I am a security officer and I was wondering if EAA Windicator's are reliable revolvers? Because I am thinking of getting one in 38 Special with a two inch barrel.

Junk. I wouldn't trust my life to one of these.
Revolvers, if built incorrectly, are pretty much garbage and really fixing them a crapshoot. If built correctly, they can run for a lifetime. Spend the money and buy a new or used one [have it checked out of course] made by a reputable manufacturer. |

The line up on currently made revolvers is this.
At the top is the S&W. Ruger is a step below, Taurus is a good step below Ruger, and EAA's Windicator is at least a full step below Taurus if not more. Accuracy of the EAA will likely not be great, longevity won't be great, and you'll have trouble finding any after market grips or getting a good fit in a holster. With that in mind, the gun will reliably go "Bang", but don't expect to be able to shoot it that much. In short, if you need it it'll probably do the job, but don't expect much. |

Yeah I'll make sure I never get a EAA then. Besides the one's mentioned like Ruger and S&W is Rossi a good make as far as revolvers? Yeah I have little experiance with revolvers since all my handguns are Semi Auto's like my 1911 and Sig P226 for example. But yeah if I get myself a revolver I will make sure it is a good one then.
