A local Gander Mountain has a new stainless EAA CZ-75 clone new for $559 with 1 magazine, which appears to be full MSRP (typical for GM).  Davidson's doesn't show any in stock.  Couple of questions:

Is EAA a decent version of the CZ75?  I'm looking at all-steel models, and I want the original trigger system allowing cocked & locked or DA-first shot capabilities.

Is there a better/cheaper version I should look at?  I don't mind used.

How have mags been affected by the recent hysteria?

I wouldn't pay that when you can get a CZ 75B NIB for less typically.

I know nothing of the EAA stuff, doubt that I'll shoot anything other than CZs for the most part, don't see the need.

CDNN has taken their site down, Greg Cote is sold out, Brownells is out but CZ USA appears to have some:

$43.00 ea.

EAA/Witness/Tanfoglio are generally decent firearms. Be aware though the new Witness pistols that are being imported, regardless of caliber, are built on what is known as the "Large Frame". They are comparable in size with the CZ97's in .45 ACP.  IMHO unnecessarily large for 9mm, 40S&W, etc. For that price range you should be able to find a "real" CZ somewhere. Magazine supply seems to be a little thin right now, I'm hoping that will ease up in the future!
