I just purchased a 94FS Cheetah (.380) for my fiance'. She cannot pull the slide back... I cleaned it before I took it out to shoot it the first time, and ran about 100 shots thru it. I know it is not really broken in yet, but the recoil spring is really stiff on this gun and almost useless to her unless I can find an easier recoil spring that will allow her to pull the slide back, but still effectively operate the gun.
Anyone know where I might find something like this? I've done a couple of google searches (and even in this forum!) but have not found anything. Thanks in advance! |

I never saw weaker recoil springs for those.
Really, I'd shoot maybe 500 rounds through it and see how that works. If it really came down to it, I'd pick up another stock spring and trim it so she can manage (wear on the gun will increase). I do know that Beretta puts out a Cheetah with a break-open barrel (the rear of the barrel comes up, letting you insert the first round into the chamber). That is the only thing I'm aware of that may help you out. |

Am I the only one who thinks the springs are hard to manage? For me, it is a bit stiff but manageable but i even gave her a leather glove to see if that would help and she simply cannot pull it back.
I agree with the 500 rounds thing, my first thought is it will probably loosen up a bit after being broken in better. |
