I have a P229 elite in 40 S&W It has a beaver tail (I like it a lot don't) front and rear slide serrations and night sights, dustcover rail and the best part, the short reset trigger which resets in about the thickness of two pennies. The grips are big but that's good for me, with the thicker grips and the beaver tail it points perfect for me and seems have a faster follow up vs. the classic style P229. The street price seems to be right around $960 http://img77.imageshack.us/img77/5336/0210071157rd2.jpg |

I picked up a SIG 226 Elite in 40 cal around the first of the year. I really like it. It’s a real shooter! The only thing I wasn’t real happy with was the wood grips. Though they really look good, they made the grip just a little too fat for my hands. Tried a set of Hogue grips – better, but not quite right. Finally got a hold of a set of the standard 226 factory grips – worked like a charmed! |
