| Friend of a friend has 226 Equinox 40SW he is looking to sell. For whatever reason, the brainiac had the hammer bobbed off & looks like a DAO model. As far as I can tell at present, no other alterations...lol. If I buy it, I would like to replace it with one just like the original 'used' to be. The Q: can a gunsmith do that - or - would it be best to ship back to Sig to handle? Also, any idea on what cost range might be to get it done? THANKS! |
| A nickel hammer from top gun supply will cost you about $76 shipped. You can also get an armorer's DVD set for $23 that will be useful for this and more. Between what you would learn from the DVD plus not having to ship your gun anywhere, you will come out ahead both money wise and knowledge wise. |
