Just out of curiousity, is there someone who manufactures extended/hi-capacity magazines for 1911's? I haven't been able to locate anything, but I thought I've seen them before.

I think many of the major manufactures make them.
Try Wilson Combat. I like their mags.

Wilson has a 10rd, SG has a 15rd and, Promag has a 40rd drum.

this is the best answer available. 8rd and 10rd, which is about as high as is practical in a .45 ACP single-stack.
