I just "tuned" an extractor on a Colt, which fed @ 100-150 test rounds reliably last range session. After a 250 round session I am having FTFs on the last round that began to occur more consistently as more rounds were fired. It appears to be a Type II "High Angle" stoppage, only The feed angle of the round is even sharper on the feed ramp than pictured. The only recognizable variable is the new extractor. Mags used were 47Ds. I did disassemble and clean ALL mags the session before and it failed with all 3 used, leading me to believe it isn't the mag issue when all fail simultaneously.

Too loose? Too tight? Other?

I'm guessing too tight. If it were too loose other rounds, besides the last would be having feed issues. Sometimes this test helps; take the slide off (Barrel removed) and place a round in the claw of the extractor. Turn the slide every which way. If the round stays put, then generally there is sufficient tension.

That's the test I use myself. If you're right, perhaps I put a little more "oomph" on the last bend.
