Does anyone have a pic(s) of the Glock extractors? I need a spare for a gen 1 17 and a gen 2 19, are they the same? Also, what's the 0 and 5 degree suffix on the 15 and 90 degree ones? I was looking at the ones in my 17 and 32(LCI/gen 3) and the only difference I could see is a symbol by the inside of the hook. The 9mm had an oval symbol that was straight and the 40 the same but the symbol was running about 7/8 to 1/2 o'clock. Mark |
No, not from the factory. The 5 degree hook cut was a design change when the 40s came out. The first 40s all used 9mm extractors with the 0 or parallel cut. What they found was because of the extra slide speed of the 40 the hook was getting chipped, so they added the 5 degree cut to fix the problem. This does not mean that you can't use the 15/5 in the 9mm but, it might eject the brass in a slightly different direction or angle. |

I'll compare the one in my 17 with the 32, I swear they're the same, stock parts too? Let you know tomorrow. Now the spring loaded bearing, I'm aware of the color differences(blk-9/wht-.40/.357/olice-.45) but which one is the LCI one, thicker head or the shallow one? part that isn't in the spring. edit-I just went onto Lone Wolf's site and see that the thinner one is the LCI. I just checked my Glock, from the factory and it has the thicker one in it? My 17 came from the factory with the LCI extractor. It has almost 20K through it and has never malfunctioned--never. So, will the non LCI slb work with the LCI extrctr but not the other way around? Mark |
The first LCIs came with the orginal SLB, then Glock changed the design to the new one. So far I have not heard of any problems with that setup but there must be a reason for the new SLB. If I can remember, I will ask next time I see the rep. |
