Saw one of these online (I think it was a Gen 5 47 MOS).
What's the story on these? Are they limited to certain models only? Are they dealer exclusives? |

You have to be careful with the FDE.
Many distributors sell cerakoted FDE Glocks. Glock also makes a FDE colored frame where the polymer is actually colored. With those models the magazines also are FDE with the exception of the G42 and G43. They are an exclusive for Lipseys and the product code ends in DE or D. Their FDE is very dark. Lipseys exclusive |

I just picked up an oem fde 17 gen 5. I can confirm it’s really dark. Frankly, I feel like it’s a bait and switch as it’s advertised as being a traditional fde /tan…however it’s shit brown. Realistically it’s like “mud brown” or “tree bark brown”.

OK. I remember the Gen 3 and Gen 4 Lipsey's Dark Earth and OD Green Glocks. I had a Gen 4 19 that was a dark. The pictures of these ones seem to be more tan.
Do the FDE Glock mags that are being sold match? |

The FDE mags that Glock sells individually also match the frames.

I wish Lipseys would have Glock make some of their G17 Gen1 Classic / P80 in green (Actually, I wish they made a Gen 1 G19 in green, or any color really).
It would match my AUG nicely. |

There are NO Glock generation 1 G19’s, well Kansas had some chopped Gen1’s with the G19 upper on the chopped G17 frame (gen1). G19 appeared in Glock gen2, being the first offering for G19’s. So, the first generation for G19 is gen 2 (1988). One of the above Glock 19’s on the chopped frame from that era sold around 2015 I think. Memory says it sold for $7500 then. (Glock authenticated them). Their uppers are stamped with Kansas something or other. Those are the only ones I know of. |

View Quote Whatever the first generation of G19s were, it was a Gen 1 G19, even if it wasn't a Gen 1 Glock. Technically, the Lipseys repro Glocks aren't Gen 1s anyway. They are sort of tarted up Gen 3s - ish. |

They could make a repro of a Gen 1 G19. It would be a cool little gun, even if nobody remembers them. I'd buy one just because it's different from anything else you can buy today. I'm getting bored of light rails on everything. |

The factory FDE is dark dark. Still think Gen3 did OD and FDE right. |
