So, I'm looking at getting one of these, but have a few questions:
1. What does USG stand for? 2. What does the USG have that the other .45's don't? 3. Is a 15 round mag the same as a 14 round, just a different floor plate? 4. If so, can you but the floor plates? 5. Who makes leg rigs for them? Thats it for now. |

USG = US Government. It's the model name.
USG has a safety in addition to the decocker, so it can be carried "cocked and locked", and has forward cocking serrations on the slide. The difference between the mags is the floor plate, and no you cannot buy the floor plate separately. No idea on holster. |
I too vote for the shooters pack in order to get the holster & mag pouch at the same time one gets the gun. In fact, *I* did this very thing.
With a bit of practice, I found my FN hanging right in there with my H&K USP .45 as well. This is no small feat for a gun as I am a strong H&K kool-aid drinker.
Not sure why you'd want a leg rig, but check Safariland. They're pretty good about having stuff like that for almost all of the polymer framed guns, IMO. My .o2 |
