Picked this up yesterday at the FN plant in Columbia. Came with three 15-round magazines and a hardcase. Depending how the first range session goes this may be my new carry gun.

I have 2 9M's.  Great guns, very reliable and accurate.  Happy shooting!

I didn't think  they even had any anymore.

I've had mine for a few months now and about 300 rds through it...never had an issue yet.  Love it!

Me neither. I got one (with blackened slide) a few yrs ago and like it a lot, but understood FN was no longer producing the 'm' model so I loaded up on mags. Was I mistaken or was this old stock?

i looked for one for some time before giving up and 'settling' for a fnp 9  DA/SA decocker with nite sights a few months ago.

a friend had a 9m and loaned it to me to try out and wanted one ever since... liked the size, his was also marked columbia sc and not with the va address on mine.

I fingered one of these the other day at the gun shop.

Being a Glock shooter, I thought the safety protruded a bit too far. My thumbs kept hitting it and moving it upwards.

Otherwise I really liked it. Nice trigger, too.

Good find.  If you got the original package, what date is on the test fired round?  These were supposed to have ended production a few years back and have grown to be quite desireable.

Wow, I never thought to look at the test round envelope. It would appear my brand new gun is 2 years old.

I'll call FN tomorrow and see if they have anymore of them in stock.

I had to laugh. I just picked up a FNP-40 last week. My new guns date says 12/20/06 on the envelope.

On a side note mine states, Grooves/twist: 6 LH
                                            Turns: 1 in 16
Looks like they did account for the heavier round.

Great purchase! I have never seen or held a FNP-9M. I had a FNX-9, i wonder how much smaller that is… Congratulations

Think Glock 17 vs 19.

FN Needs to get back into this size IMO.

The current FNX-9 splits the difference between a G17 and G19.

It has rougly the slide length of the G19 with the grip size, and capacity of the G17, although with far better ergonomics.

I'd much rather that FNH-USA would release a single stack 9mm along the lines of the Walther PPS.
