Is this normal?

Do you happen to have a picture of it from the side? I would like to see the entire pistol from the side so I could gauge the gap all the way down the length of the slide if you wouldn't mind taking one.

I've seen some glocks that had different gaps in front between the frame and slide but nothing major. Was it like this when you bought it or did it occur over time?

on glocks, it seems to go the other way, e.g. bend towards barrel.

Round count? I've got 1,500 through mine, and it doesn't look like that.

Not to troll, but this is another reason I am glad I got the USP. I wonder what could be causing this issue? I wonder if the ramp/barrel locking mechanism tolerences are slightly off, causing the the chamber to be directed downward, thus making the muzzle point in an upwards direction. Just my .02.

ETA: Good looking pistol BTW. I love the color scheme on those babies.

Its normal, my FNP-45 is the same way. M&P's are also like this, and Glocks like it was mentioned above bend towards the slide.

my FNP-40 has quite the visible gap between the frame and slide. Most, if not all FNPs are like this as far as I know. Mine looks just about the same as yours. I have 150 rounds through mine.

Shot my .45 USG today with your thread in mind, sure enough a little gap seems to be starting. not major but a little bit. I only have 450 rounds fired, so maybe at 1500 it will look like yours. Not too worried about it purely cosmetic.

Checked mine over last night (Thouroughly!) and it does seem to be exhibiting a lesser amount of sagging. Maybe it's because I don't put a lot of rounds through it at one time. I never usually put more than 50 in a range session through it. It never gets really smoking hot. I'll keep an eye out though.

I emailed Bob and at FNH. He says's it normal wear and tear for the gun.

I recall hearing that glock had the same issue, they resolved it by making a slight bend up to the slide so if the frame does sag a little it will just level out.

I have a standard model FNP-45, and even with a Streamlight TLR-2 mounted on the front, there is no sag at just under 1,000 rounds.  However, the frame rails are in the middle and rear of the gun, so it isn't surprising that you may have some sag.  It is polymer and shouldn't affect function at all.  FN made those frame rails replaceable though, so should it be out of spec, it can be easily fixed.

Mine is sagging slightly...Honestly I don't care.  It shoots great and thats all that matters to me.  I don't buy my guns to look pretty.
