Using my normal grip I can not take the gun off safety because it hits my hand on the right side of the gun. Anyone else run into this problem?

Never had this happen.
I can't imagine how you are grasping the pistol to make this happen either.

Just a normal thumbs forward isocoles grip/stance. Pretty common.

The saftey usually ends just above my hand for me. all though i could see this happening to people with extremely large hand
