Ok,
So which would be your choice and why? I figure the 4 MOA of the II would be all around better than the 3 or 8 of the III. Is the MOA size the only diff? |
| The auto brightness feature of the FF2 worked very well for me. Zeroing the FF2 was kind of a pain because of the lock screws (the FF3 has detent adjustments, like a scope), but it wasn't too big a hassle. Between the two, I'd prefer the FF2, mainly because I dislike pushbutton switches. |
| I own both and am at a stand still on which I like better. I like the switch and the auto dim better on the II because its fast to turn on and off, but like the adjustments and battery location better on the 3. I also like the 3 has a little white line on the back which acts as a crappy iron back up. As far as the dot size the 3 actually looks bigger to me and I think it has to do with the auto dim feature. When I put them side by side in the same ambient light the 3 is brighter which equals a bigger dot and every situation I have found. In the end I guess I lean a little towards the 3 because the 2 is a real pain to sight in. |
