So I never really believed the stories about ending up with a box full of holsters, kind of like women and shoes.  Sure enough, over the years I've collected many of the cheaper galco and desantis style holsters for different guns. You see lots of these various cheap models but read about the CTAC/MTAC/Supertuck being the end all to be all of IWB style holsters. I've never seen one in a store or at a gun show, ever.

Checking the Minotaur site it appeared that the only stocking dealer in South Ohio was an archery store I had never heard of. As luck would have it, I was in the area today, with some extra time between appts. After finding the store and going in I didn't have much hope, at least until the dude in front said, "oh, the gun store is back there." Sure enough, the gentleman didn't have a massive stock, but everything he did have was top notch. It didn't take much searching to find a small selection of MTACs. As luck would have it, he had a black MTAC for my new M&P9c. I mulled over it for a few minutes, but since this was the only one I have ever seen in person AND the price was spot on, not a 50% markup like you'd expect, I caved.

I didn't mess with it for the rest of the day as I had a couple of stops to make. After getting home I messed with it a bit and got it strapped in place. At first I left it empty just to get used to it. Wow, this is a change from the cheaper models! Right now I've been wearing it with the 9c unloaded (the instructions say so! OVER AND OVER) and it feels pretty good. I have a gun belt that I wear as my every day belt and it holds it fine. The work clothes I'm currently wearing hide it well enough. There's no obvious bunching of the shirt tail around the gun itself. As a test, none of my kids have made me yet. Wife isn't home but would probably call me on still having my work clothes on more than she'd see the two clips.

Overall impression: it's far more comfortable than the cheaper models. I have no concern with it coming loose or moving in any way. Also I don't have any digging into my side that I have with my J-frames (hammer type. I like hammers) or I had with my G19. I don't find myself checking to make sure the gun is properly seated still, but it does pull my belt down on my hips more that causes me to pull the whole belt up. When low there's an obvious bulk but I'm not sure anyone who wasn't looking would notice.

The instructions never tell me it's ok to load my gun either.... hmmmmm

I carry my M&P9c in an MTAC. It's the best holster I've ever used.

I carry mine chambered though.

I'm not talking about chambered or not. I'm completely UNLOADED like the instructions say. OVER AND OVER!

Well, that is the safest way.

I love my MTAC, i have it for a 19, and theres days where im wearing it 12+ hours, and never have issues with it. Especially when I wear a good belt with it.

My MTAC Spartan gets more comfortable every day with a full size M&P9. And I sit most of the day.
However the buckle of my 1.75" Wilderness Instructor is causing some discomfort. I'm planning on getting a 1.5" Frequent Flyer.
I would recommend the C-clips if you need to tuck a lot. They still out a lot less than the standard. They almost disappear with a black belt.

I've been wearing the MTAC a lot without the gun it in. Honestly the thing is so comfortable you forget you have it! It even pads at times. I'm still working out exactly where the clips need to be. I'm finding that the front most clip needs to be in front of the 3:00 belt loop. (does that make sense?) I had the clip behind the belt loop (with gun) and found it to be a bit too far back to where I was sitting "on the gun" more than I wanted.

I realize this is very subjective from person to person. I haven't even started on clip positions yet. I do think the front clip needs to drop down one more hole.

I have a CTAC, but that front clip reference point you have is the same one I use. Any further back and the draw feels unnatural as well. What sucks is when you get to where you like it, then change pants and the belt loops are in a different spot
