I've always been a smith & Wesson fan but today I bought a new Ruger GP 100 Stainless 6".  It feels as good as many of my S&W 357's and I got a good deal on it.  I have several Ruger Blackhawks and Super Blackhawks but this is my first Ruger DA revolver.

They look like nice DA revolvers, used to be a big fan of Security Sixs, looking forward to a range report.

I have had a 4" GP100 (Stainless) for several years, and I love it! I was recently shooting 100 yard gongs (24" x 24") and ringing them 3-4 times out of six-- this with standard sights! It has never failed on me, vs. my Model 27 which locked up whenever anything got under the ejection star.

I'm an S&W and Ruger double action, 357 magnum wheelgun nut. My 4" GP100 would be the last to go of the bunch. My GP100 is approaching 10 years old with thousands and thousands of rounds sent down range. It has defended my home, truck and been carried on hunting/backpacking trips with no complaints. It goes on almost every range trip. In fact, the trigger seems to just get better and better. Enjoy your GP100!

I forgot to mention if you were lucky enough to get the original rubber grips with wood panels, they are IMHO the best grips put on a factory handgun.
