I bought a gen 3 model 19. I asked the shop owner what he'd recommend, based on what I told him, he said a 19 or 23. Went with the model 19.

Good deal, the 19 is a sweet pistola, not too big, not too little.

The only negative (to ME) were the longer shots at competitions; the shorter sight radius made it tougher to hit where I wanted.

For totin', though, it's hard to beat.

Good choice. Can't go wrong with a 19 (or 23 for that matter).

If I ever buy another firearm, it'll be a Gen 3 ln G19. Deal's got to be right, though.
