I am considering upgrading the front sight on a Glock 30 with something that stands out a little more than the factory sight. NIght sights aren't something I am considering at this time but am thinking something utalizing fiber optic.  Can someone recommend a make/model as well as indicate what height I need for a model 30?

Any experience with TruGlows?

Thank you ahead of time.

A set of Truglo fiber optic sights (6.9mm fits 10MM and 45 ACP Models) from Glockmeister is $59.00.  You can buy a tritium set of Meprolight night sights 6.9 mm in either green/green or green front/yellow rear for $74.  I would go with green/yellow tritiums.  I just bought a pair of these and they are outstanding.  I also have owned several pairs of green/green Meprolights over the years and they are exellent sights.  Do you really want to charge up the fiber optics?

Most people that use a fiber optic use a .125" wide x .215" tall front sight with a rear that has a .150" wide notch and similar height.
But standard Glock height is .160" so if you are only going to replace the front sight, you need to stay with that height.

In USPSA and IDPA I see mostly 10-8,, Warren Tactical and Heinie sights when people have a fiberoptic on their Glock.

I would skip the tru-glo and save your money for something with a bit more quality.

ETA: Ameriglo looks like they have some that might work for the mean time.

Trigicon came out with a new night sight called HD sights.  They have a very large and clear front sight in yellow or red.  I have them on 2 of my glocks and like them VERY much...
