In my case I use them for my S&W625. At the range I use plastic Rimz from Beckham Design because they load and unload so easily without tools by hand.
These do not work well for carry or speedy, reliable reloads in a situation that would count; rounds just fall out too easily.
Steel FMCs are great, but can bend all too easily and not seat properly in the cylinder if even slightly bent.
In my experience so far, steel ones seem to be of the same quality of metal, regardless of the source.
My question here is if anyone knows of a particular manufacturer of FMCs that are of higher quality steel?
Any and all appreciated.

Ranch Products makes the best I have used by far. The cheap-o versions are not spring steel, and will bend easily. As you can see, they do not have a huge web presence, but they are worth the trouble and higher price.

IIRC the Wilson clips sold by Brownells are made by Ranch Products (for sure they used to be)

And Wilson's site...but no mention of the manufacturers...

I'll give them a try for sure.
I've found the California Competition Works' Moon Clip Loading/Unloading Tool  to be pretty gentle with run of the mill clips. That matched with superior quality steel should make for good service life.
Thanks.
