Anyone know where I can find one IN STOCK for a G17 trigger assembly? Smooth trigger, OEM. Yes, I Googled it but couldnt find one. I think the trigger is different for Gen 4 than Gen 3. |

Try Glockmeister.com
Order part # SP00357. I just installed this on a Gen4 G23 and it is the G17 smooth faced trigger....non serrated. And yes, the Gen4's and, I think, late model Gen3's (late 2009 +) have a different trigger bar. The one that came in my Gen4 G23 has the dimple in the tab that interacts w/ the firing pin safety plunger, and also the redesigned tang that holds the trigger spring, which is supposed to increase trigger spring life. Curious about the trigger spring life, since I've broken a trigger spring in a Gen2 G19. Part SP00357 does not have the dmple, but does have the redesigned tang for the trigger spring. That dimple runs along the inside of the slide and causes drag. I'm talking like an expert, but really this all info I've picked up from the errornet, so take all this for what it's worth. I understand the dimple was originally put in the G21/G20/G29/G30 frames to help correctly align the tab to the firing pin plunger since the frames are wider than the 9mm/40/357Sig/45GAP frames. Upon installation of the new trigger bar, the pull as a little softer and definitely, less draggy. I've also done the $.25 trigger job (basically just polishing the trigger parts) and installed the Glock 4.5lb connector (formerly known as the Glock 3.5lb connector). The trigger is now much better than stock, but it still has a different feel than the pre Gen4 Glocks that I own. It is still a little heavier, but now smooth. The upside is, it doesn't have a spongy feel that Glocks can have. The Gen4's definitely have a tighter feel, more precision feel to the inner workings. |
