Went to the range with my G17 and noticed that about once every 25/30 rds a shell would extract, but get caught the slide backward and hold the slide open.  The primer end is facing toward the barrel and the mouth of the casing is stuck up against the firing pin/ extractor. Crazy??  I am using Winchester 115 grain target loads.  Anyone had this experience? I have put 500+ rounds through it.

WWB ammo has a bad rep for light loads, does it do this with other ammo? (My 17 eats up anything however)

I haven't put anything else through it yet, but that's my next step.  Bad thing is, if it is the Winchester, I have about 5K of it I bought when it was $120.00 per K.  oh well.  I'm gonna try some speer 124+p.

I was going to say something about maybe limp wristing but then reread and saw the 500+ rounds

That said, WWB is underpower as mentioned above. Try some hotter stuff like Speer lawmen or the Winchester 9mm NATO

Nothing wrong with the thousands of WWB I've put through my G17 and G19.

I'd say it's the shooter.

I've never had an issue with it either, but you've got to admit its pretty weak stuff.

Does the Glock have stock springs etc.?  All my 9mm glocks eat anything I put in them.

The guide rod and spring are stock.  Got a trigger job after the first 200 rds, but this problem has happened intermittently since new.  I'm gonna shoot tomorrow and experiment w/ some different ammo.
