That is actually just part of a NY Trigger spring. There should be a coil spring on the post between the upper and lower arms. Without the spring it wasn't going to be an actual 8lb pull and probably less durable. From the pictures I've seen, the NY Trigger Spring being sold doesn't have the thin metal spring along the inside like mine does, but instead has a round one that you speak of. I don't think mine is missing a spring, but is a different (maybe older) model. Either way, it's out of both guns, and will not be going back in. |

Probably not a PD gun from NY as we have a "cradle to grave" law that says once it is owned by the .gov it can't be sold out to the populace . They either warehouse them for later or smelt them down . JMHO . |
