I was trying to hit a paper plate at about 50 yards yesterday.  I had no idea where the bullets were even landing.

Does anyone have a graph, or even just an elevation for how low to aim at about 50 yards?

115grain FMJ 9mm shouldn't even be dropping 4 inches at 50 yards.

Shouldn't be more then 3".  If possible use a bench rest, put paper out at 50 yds and measure the drop.

If you can, get some of the paper that's used to pattern shotguns.  Some ranges have it in big brown rolls.

Get a 3 foot by 3 foot square, put it out 50 yards.

Shoot it.

See where your rounds are going.  If you're not hitting that target, move in much closer and work on the basics.

50 yards is a moderate challenge for some (if not most) shooters.

ETA: Like the posters before me have said, the drop will be probably 3 inches, no more than 5.

Are they reloads?

I had a bunch of 9mm reloads I was shooting out of my XD at 100 yards. I was aiming high and the bullets were still hitting several feet short.

I finally realized  I didnt crimp any of them.

So is there any bullet rise, like with an AR15?
