Hello Glock Gurus!

Here's what I got.  I picked up an old police trade G22.  I had a little issue with the whole limp wrist ftf fte when I first started shooting it but I have that all worked out.  Now the only issue I have is that when I fire the gun I get a casing literally right in the face on every shot.  When I inspect these fired cases they are usually bent on the bullet end and have a oval shape almost.  This issue seems more pronounced when I fire LE grade hot ammo like Ranger or speer in various loads.  I cleaned the gun and the chamber real good and lubed the slide in all the normal spots and still no joy.  If you manually rack the slide through a magazine full of rounds it seems to eject and feed similarly to my other glocks.  The extractor appears to be intact but you can tell that someone has done some work to it by the lack of finish and sanding witness marks on the back side of the angled claw area.  Also the ejector is in place and not bent or damaged.  Any ideas guys?

Thanks in advance,
Turk

I'll take "Replace the Extractor for $400 Alex"

Agreed. Replacing the extractor is the place to start. They run about 14-15$ from OMB Express.

It may not be just the extractor, but also the extractor spring.  Get the spring too as it is only $3.  Give Dave or Jan a call at Glockparts and they can fix you us fast.  And, their shipping costs for small parts like this is tiny, not some $10 shipping on a $2 part.

I'd also have an armorer look at the ejector or it could be a combination of parts from incomplete upgrades.

A glock armorer can call and ask about upgrades available for your gun, or go to a GSSF event and get one of their armorers to upgrade and fix it for free!
